Joey Ramone asked: “Do you remember rock n’ roll radio?”
    The Hot Rods answered: “Yes.”

That’s what The Hot Rods are all about - rock n’ roll. But these guys aren’t lost in the 50’s or caught up in the rockabilly mafia. They like Elvis, but they prefer the 70’s Elvis.

    Let’s meet the fellas:
Giovanni Pirozzi – Vocals, Rhythm Guitar
    Vincenzo Pirozzi – Lead Guitar
    Mikael Jacobson – Bass, Vocals
…And their hired gun on the drums – Gregg “Five G’s” Ginsburg

Originally out of the fabled Coachella Valley, The Hot Rods moved to Los Angeles and started doing their thing at The Kibitz Room, Jumbo’s Clown Room, Tin Horn Flats and The Liquid Kitty. Dive bars with character. In this beautiful world of O.C. compilation albums, The Hot Rods are working outside the system, streamlining the operation and boiling it down to the good stuff.

The Hot Rods first surfaced in 2002 with the EP “Thank God for Rock n’ Roll” - four original tracks written for a student film by the same name. They followed that up with 2003's “The Hot Rods Christmas” – thirteen original Christmas songs. Why a Christmas album? Why not?

With their holiday obligations out of the way, The Hot Rods go back in the studio, and in 2005 release “The Hot Rods” - sixteen original tracks, with music ranging from rock ‘n roll, country, alternative and even lounge. They plan on hitting all the L.A. clubs, and of course getting played on the radio…..for Joey.
